Membership to the International Moth Class Association of Australia does not infer any rights with any other moth association internationally. By becoming a member you will be eligible to compete in Moth class events that are open to members of IMCA Australia.

IMCA Australia is committed to the privacy of your personal information, and we will not disclose your information to any third party including any other moth association, or the international association. Your data remains secure with us.

Members who have shown an extraordinary commitment to the class, and who have contributed to the growth of the class beyond what would be expected of a normal member can become life members. Life members are full bona fide members of the National Association in perpetuity with full voting rights. Life membership will be bestowed at the AGM, and once confirmed, life members will not be required to renew their membership.

#getamoth - $25.00 (AUD) Subscription period: Unlimited This is a general membership for those that haven't bought a moth yet or a between boats. Membership is a once off payment until such time as you get a moth.

This membership gives you all the access to the information and provides the insurance coverage of the association if you are volunteering at any moth events.

It does not give you voting rights, access to discounts and you can't compete in a moth event. You can upgrade at any time to a full membership and have the current years #getamoth fee deducted from the first annual subscription.

Former moth owners may be subject to cyber bullying until such time as they buy another moth.

5yr Foiling - $375.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 5 years No automatically recurring payments Full membership for those who go foiling for a 5 year membership. It allows you to compete in any moth event provided you have a boat that is eligible for a full 5 years.

If you are changing your current membership from 1 year to 5 years, you may be eligible for a refund on the remainder of your annual membership. let us know.

5yr LowRider - $325.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 5 years No automatically recurring payments Full membership for those who enjoy riding low. It allows you to compete in any lowriding event provided you have a boat that is eligible. You are unable to attend an open event under this category except for the lowriding division of the nationals.

If you are upgrading from a 1 yr membership, there may be a potential refund on the remainder of your 1 year membership.

Foiling - $75.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: November 1st No automatically recurring payments Full membership for those who go foiling. It allows you to compete in any moth event provided you have a boat that is eligible.

Historian (Non Sailing) - Free Subscription period: Unlimited This account only allows access to the moth class archives and is intended for those who actively contribute to the class archives or intending to conduct research.

For those wishing to remain associated with the class due to past sailing history or general interest, please use the #getamoth membership field.

It does not provide any detailed access to member functions or provide coverage under our association insurance. You will not be able to participate in compete as an IMCA member at this level.

Junior - $50.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: November 1st No automatically recurring payments A junior member is anyone who would be under the age of 21 on the 31st of December.

LowRider - $65.00 (AUD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: November 1st No automatically recurring payments

Benefits for Signing Up

So there is the obvious, you get to participate in any moth class event. In order to compete for any class trophy managed by the association under a Deed of Gift, you need to be a member.
Included in the class association insurance for organising moth class events.
Access to exclusive member discounts from business that support the class.
Exclusive member only merchandise (when we have some).
Access and ability to contribute to the class archives
There is a non boat ownership option. It allows you to get involved and see content, get updates etc and also allows those who no longer want to sail an ability to maintain their class association.
We have also created a special historian section for those who wish to contribute to our archives. This allows access to all the key information for free and you can upload files and photos that you find.

If you would like to pay by bank transfer, that option is still available however access to the members area, the events registry and the discounts will not occur until we have got your dues.
