Ive got an old scow I need to find a new home for. It needs work but it's free to a good home. No sail or mast though.
It's on the sunshine coast qld.
there are scow plans somewhere on the moth site. If I can remember I'll let you know. I also have them on a disc somewhere.

Cheers, Pete.

Hi Vic

Have you purchased an old Scow moth yet?

If not we have one in the garage roof not being used. It dates from the late 60's to early 70's
I bought it about 20 years ago and set it up so our kids could use it.
The work we did on it was:
Refastened all the hull.
Replaced the cockpit floor and transon.
Dyneled all the seams and centre board case.
New rudder box and rudder.
Painted it all with Epicraft paint.
Replaced all the running rigging and fitting with modern equipment.
It goes well, is safe, reliable and still looks great.
If you are interested we will rig it up and take some photos for you.
We are in Melbourne so it would still be a trip for you!
I would like to think it is worth about $500.00 as the fittings alone are worth this much.

regards Phil
